ACHE CHOICE PROGRAM – 2020 The Year to Advance, Develop & Elevate Resiliency

In 2020, the multi-layered, perpetual state of crises has generated a renewed interest in resiliency. In healthcare, resiliency of organizations, workforces, patients and communities have captured headlines this year.  Resilient individuals in healthcare have developed the dynamic capacity to function at normal levels amid adversity or regain psychological health after setbacks. For Black healthcare leaders and others from marginalized groups, resiliency has quickly advanced to become an essential skill for professionally surviving in these unprecedented times. Many have experienced a double dose of adversity with the disparate impact of COVID-19 on marginalized communities compounded by the elevated recognition of racial injustices. This 90-minute session will examine how successful diverse healthcare leaders have leveraged the adversities of 2020 to sharpen their resiliency skills and how all healthcare leaders can advance inclusive workplace cultures that support organizational and individual resiliency.
